Welcome to Poé painting!
Poé was born in Quebec. She started to paint and draw at 15 years old. Now, after twenty five years of practice, college and university learning in fine arts. She invites you to look at her work and offers the possibility to buy originals or reproductions in the form of giclees on canvas or paper. Also she can paint a landscape of your choice if you supply a photo.
Small word of Poé: It pleases to me to present you all my original painting creations spreaded over twelve years. Sometimes I go in nature "to draw" or I install some elements in my workshop, or, it sometimes happens that I receive inspirations; colors or sometimes the clarity-obscure ones settle in my head and I let myself be guided by them. My images are rather bucolic, peaceful. I master rather well the drawing and composition. The color is my MUSE and my force and I study the light. In my more recent paintings, my need for space carries me towards the landscapes because the eye can travel in panorama but also in depth. My next project is to paint directly on the walls, a frescos, where would unite lights, fog, magic, the animals and humans in a natural context with a lot of depth. I like the idea to increase the space of a room by cheating the eye.

Les peintures de Poé sont à la fois figuratives, poétiques et colorées. Ses sujets les plus fréquents sont des paysages, des animaux, des fleurs et des personnages. En regardant ses tableaux, on comprend qu'elle veut apprivoiser la beauté et le mystère de la nature.
Ses paysages sont pleins d'espace et de lumière. Ses animaux, vaches, éléphants,cerfs et chevaux sont sereins et libres. Ils apparaissent quelquefois dans un mandalas où ils prennent un aspect sacré. Les fleurs sont souvent présentes. Elles sont davantage des taches de couleurs que des études botaniques précises.
Les personnages quant à eux, sont discrets quoiqu'en action ; on les voit arrosant, cueillant, apprivoisant un animal ou jouant d'un instrument de musique. Dans toute cette création d'images, on constate une large part d'exploration. Les médiums , les palettes de couleur ainsi que les formats utilisés sont très variés. Sa créativité aussi provient de plusieurs sources : l'observation ou la mémoire de certaines scènes guident ses coups de pinceaux et quelquefois, des rêves et des inspirations s'imposent et prennent forme sur la toile.
